Beat Making: Fruity Loops Studio?

Making Beats: Fruity Loops Studio?

Beat making software is where most start; it's where i started, and it's still where I am today. It would be awesome to just go out and buy all that hardware ya see in those studio pics, or those youtube beat making vids, but that shit is expensive. Most won't be ready to make an investment for their beat making tools until enough confidence in skill is built, or whatever other reason. That's were a program like Fruity Loops comes in..

FL is an amazing beat making program; it has a simple and easy to use sequencer, but offers the power and flexibility you'd find in top of the line software. Basically FL is simple enough for the random bored high school kid on a summer evening to pick up and make beats quickly and efficiently, but powerful enough for hip hop greats like Kanye West, Just Blaze, and 9th Wonder. There is one problem about FL tho; the sound library is horrible for hip hop beat making. Horrible. You'll need to import your own drum kits and sound kits, and use some Vsti's. The good side is that FL comes with some powerful sampling tools such as the Fruity Slicer, and a built in wave editor, making it great for sample-based producers such as myself. Give FL a shot if ya haven't already; it's a great beat making program that can fill all of your needs in terms of software.
